Ranch dressing typically is made with sour cream and buttermilk. Buttermilk is relatively high in carbohydrates, but in the small amount you use for this entire Ranch Dressing recipe, the carbs work out to negligible amounts per serving. The Ranch Dressing is lovely with the Chopped Green Salad.

As I was looking for a Ranch Dressing recipe I came across this one from the Woolworths Taste website. Tweaked it a bit and voila! Ranch Dressing (Homemade), because homemade is always best. And it is! Just look at the ingredients in this dressing from Woolies for example.

Ingredients

  • 30 grams Double cream yoghurt
  • 3 tbsp Chives, chopped
  • 3 cloves Garlic, crushed
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 cup Buttermilk
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Mix all the ingredients and pour into a glass container in fridge until ready to use.
